Therapeutic procedures include endoscopic variceal banding, dilatation of strictures, hemostatic techniques such as glue injection, hemoclip application, argon plasma coagulation (APC), gold probe application, foreign body removal, polypectomies and percutaneous endoscopic gastronomy (PEG) tube insertions.
